Important Updates:

2024 Donation Receipts, Deadline Extension, and
2025 Offering Envelopes

  • As a result of the mail strike, the federal government has extended the time to submit charitable donations for 2024 from December 31, 2024 to February 28, 2025. In order to accommodate this extension, we will be issuing two donation receipts, similarly to RRSP receipts. There will be a donation receipt to cover the period of January 1, 2024 to December 31, 2024. You will receive these shortly by email. If you have donated during the period of January 1, 2025 to February 28, 2025, you will receive a second donation receipt This will be emailed early in March.

    If you do not have an email address on file and prefer to receive a physical donation receipt, then both donation receipts will be mailed out by the middle of March.

  • Offering Envelopes Update - 2025 Boxes now available for pick up.

    Over the past few years, less members and adherents are using offering envelopes and donating through PAR. With the new Planning Centre data base and to trim costs, this has necessitated a change to the use of offering envelopes. Starting January 14th, 2024, some members and adherents using offering envelopes will have a new offering envelope number. A notification letter will be enclosed with the offering envelopes for members and adherents receiving a new assigned envelope number. After January 14th, 2024, please destroy and discard any old, prior year(s) offering envelopes. If you do not discard your old envelopes, any donations made in 2024 will not be credited to your name.

    This may be a good time to consider pre-authorized monthly bank withdrawals….an easy and safe way to donate your offerings. For PAR members, the small packs of special envelopes will no longer be used. Please make your special donations by e-transfer or cheque We thank all members and adherents for understanding the need for change to the offering envelope usage.
