Violinist Bruce Skelton studied at the University of Michigan where he obtained a Bachelor of Music in Performance. Bruce is director of KW Strings School .He also manages and plays with the local Leith Quartet in addition to being one of the region’s outstanding teachers.

Cellist Cathy Anderson is the Associate Principal with the KWS. She has been heard as a soloist and chamber player on CBC Radio and National Public Radio in the United States. She studied with Paul Pulford of the Penderecki String Quartet and holds a Masters of Music Degree from Yale where she also studied with members of the Tokyo String Quartet. Locally she enjoys coaching the young musicians of the KW Youth Orchestra.

Joanne Bender studied piano with Erhard Schlenker in Waterloo and Dieter Weber in Vienna. She has made numerous contributions to music throughout the region as a teacher, accompanist, composer and player of chamber music. Joanne received the WLU Community Music award for her many contributions to music in the region.
