About Dave Mitchell
Dave Mitchell has been writing songs and performing for audiences
ever since he joined a rock band in his late teens. After completing
a Math degree at University of Waterloo, he set out on the road for
two years with his musical partner, Craig Hoddle, playing lounge gigs
in Canada and the United States, and recording an album of original
songs. (Search on YouTube for Turnabout Mitch Hodd for the complete album.)
Over the thirty years that followed, Dave taught math at Grand River C.I.
and Cameron Heights C.I. and had a piano keyboard in his classroom
to serenade his students with math songs. (Google Circle Song 2.)
In retirement, he has given keynote addresses and presented workshops
at professional development conferences for teachers across North America.
Dave has had an exceptional number of funny things happen to him in
his life's journey. You'll hear about some of them in his concert today.
He hopes you will be amused and entertained.
