Noon Hour Concert: Corey Linforth & Peter Nikiforuk

Spring into the Music with a brand new line of performances in our Spring Noon Hour Concert Series. Admission to the building is free, and a sandwich lunch is available for purchase prior to each recital between 11:30 a.m. - 12:15 p.m., with the concerts beginning at 12:15 p.m.

About Corey Linforth

Corey Linforth is a soprano who specializes in oratorio. Career highlights include performing as a soloist with The Annex Singers, The Talisker Players, Guelph Chamber Choir, and Spiritus Ensemble. Corey holds a degree in voice from the University of Waterloo and has attended a number of summer programs including Early Music Vancouver – The Compleat Singer (Canada), the Tallis Scholars’ Summer Schools (England), and Triora Musica – Early Opera Course (Italy). In 2019, Corey shifted her focus from classical music to pop-folk. Under the stage name Coraline James, she released her first EP, In the River, in August 2023, and will be releasing her second EP, Brambles, in March 2024 thanks to the support of the Ontario Arts Council and the Waterloo Region Arts Fund. 


About Peter Nikiforuk

Peter Nikiforuk is a native of Brantford, where he received his early musical training. He holds degrees from The University of Toronto, Yale University and the Royal Academy of Music. In 2022, he was named Director of Music Emeritus at St Peter’s Lutheran Church in Kitchener after 33 years of service. He continues as a faculty member at the Laurier Academy of Music and Arts. He was National President of the Royal Canadian College of Organists from 2020-2022 and was recently named Chief Examiner of the RCCO. He also examines for the Royal Conservatory of Music.
