December 23, 2022
As we draw closer to the beautiful celebration of love come down as a little boy, to be born in us again this year, it calls for the spirit of thanksgiving.
Here are the things I am thankful for this Christmas time:
A staff that works hard to bring joy into the hearts of people within the church and beyond
A sanctuary choir who not only sing incredibly well but who love what they do and offer their gifts with grace and enthusiasm
A family that supports who I am and what I do
A loving partner who is my best friend and stands with me each day
The opportunity to work among people for whom the church continues to have great value for in society, and who want the church to make a difference in the community
A faith that tells me over and over again that I'm loved and embraced, that I need not lose hope, that God continues to be born into our lives and that violence and anger, war and injustice never have the last word. The love that is God is always at work in people's hearts and minds, inviting us to be transformed and to engage in all that is going on around us, bringing peace and kindness to bear
These are the things I am thankful for this year. How about you?
