Christmas Eve Service
This Christmas Eve we will host two distinct services for you to participate in.
10:00 a.m. All-Ages Service
Christmas Eve falls on a Sunday this year, and we’re excited to join as a big church family to worship and sing together. This service will include participatory elements for all ages and feature big questions and some of your favourite Christmas hymns.
7:00 p.m. Evening Service with St. Peter’s Lutheran Church
We’re partnering with St. Peter’s to provide a beautiful service for reflection and big questions about the joy of this holy night – God has come down and moved into the neighbourhood once again. How do we experience that joy in both the St. Andrew’s and St. Peter’s congregations? We are excited to bring our choirs and our congregations together for an evening of beautiful music and reflection through this holy night.

Lighting Up the Darkness (Blue Christmas Service)
A Christmas service for those going through tough times—whether it's dealing with loss, grief, or just a hard season. The atmosphere is calm, providing a space to reflect and find comfort. Instead of the usual holiday cheer, this service acknowledges the challenges many face during Christmas. Through moments of remembrance, soothing music, and caring words, 'Lighting Up the Darkness' aims to be a supportive space where people can share their struggles and find strength together.

Christmas Cantata Recording
Join us on December 17 at 3p.m for the annual CTV taping of our Christmas service. This year, we are featuring a very special musical cantata and theme entitled “Love Came Down at Christmas”

Police Band Holiday Concert
Join us for a holiday concert featuring the Waterloo Regional Police Service Ceremonial Band.
A free-will offering will be received for the Foodbank of Waterloo Region.

Christmas Market (Bazaar)
Join us for our annual Christmas Market on Saturday, November 25th starting at 9:30 a.m.

Pickle Palooza (pickling bee)
Join us for an intergenerational pickling event! On July 25th and 26th, we'll dive into the art of pickling as we prepare delicious pickled beets for sale at our Christmas Market in November. Learn the pickling process, from cooking the beets to sealing the jars, and has some fun while you work.
Don't miss this fun-filled opportunity to pickle, learn, and contribute to our tasty fundraising efforts this winter!

Blue Christmas
Sometimes Christmas is sad and difficult - especially if a loved one has died. The 'Holly Jolly Christmas' may feel empty and meaningless and you may just want it to be OVER. If you are feeling 'blue' about the season, please come to a special service on Wednesday, Dec. 28 at 7 pm here at St. Andrew's. The purpose is not to cheer you up, but to give you an opportunity to sit with your true feelings and sense the depth of your sadness and loss. Someone important in your life is not with you anymore. That's important! Come and worship the God who understands broken hearts and is ready to be with you in your sorrow. Tears will be welcome. Everyone experiencing grief is encouraged to come.

Candle Light Christmas Eve Service
Join us for a traditional Christmas Eve service beginning with a Christmas concert at 7:30 featuring special music. The service itself will begin at 8 pm and we will ask the question “How Does God show up at Christmas this year?

Family Christmas Eve Service
Lights, camera, action! Join Rev. Marty & Andrew at 4:00PM an interactive Christmas experience full of songs, echo pantomime readings and a spontaneous Christmas pageant. It will be crazy.
It will be fun.
It will tell the Christmas story.
We will begin by singing some of our favourite Christmas carols before the service. Come as you are and explore the miracle of Christmas through the eyes of your children.
P.s. we have glow stick candles for Silent Night.

Christmas Service Taping
St. Andrew’s invites you to a special service of music and readings telling the Christmas story through the eyes of its central characters. Which one do you identify with: Mary, Joseph, the shepherds, the angels, the baby? Join us at 3 p.m., Sunday, December 18 and participate in the re-telling of this wonderful story. Sing favourite carols, hear glorious choral selections by our Sanctuary Choir and let yourself be carried away by the gentle sounds of the Handbell Choir. If you are not able to join us in-person, tune in on Christmas morning to the CTV broadcast. We look forward to seeing you on December 18 at 3 p.m.
